Pocket Mechanic Professional v2.12 released
by Webmaster on Jul 25

pmp_uninstaller.jpgPocket Mechanic Professional v2.12 is available on our site. This new update adds a new module that replaces the built-in application uninstaller. It is able to completely remove installed software (unlike the built-in uninstaller) by first running the standart uninstaller and then by cleaning up after it. Application manager registry entries, ISV files, DAT files and CAB files as well as .EXE and start menu shortcut files will be detected and deleted as well. Below is the change log:

* Fixed: Bug in the flash volume enumeration code.
* Fixed: CSystem::ExecFile() didn't close the process handle.
* Fixed: Installer destination path.
* Changed: Shortcut handling code. The bad shortcut enumeration module now works very reliably.
* Added: New module - Application Uninstaller. Unlike the windows CE uninstaller this one will uninstall completely by cleaning the application manager registry entries and deleting CMD, ISV and CAB files left after the removal. Capable of uninstalling applications in batch.

I have recently purchased and downloaded to my Notebook computer Pocket Mechanic Professional and plan to install it onto my Mobile Devise with a 2 GB Micro storage card and operating WM5 Phone Ed.

Can you please assist me?

Sould Pocket Mechanic be installed onto the storage card or onto the Device root directory?

Hello mcflett,
You can install Pocket Mechanic in both locations. Check the Pocket Mechanic Professional installation FAQ here for more details:
