I have a Pharos GPS 535e PDA running Windows Mobile 5.  It is also running a Forest Service application that by default saves data to a 2 GB SD-CARD as \Storage Card\ which it doesn’t recognize since the SD-CARD is “named” SD-MMCard. The PDA is also running Virtual Explorer.  I found a thread somewhere which suggested that to solve this problem the registry needed editing such that the key folder value for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Profiles\SDMemory should be changed to Storage Card.  Some additional changes to registry key folder values were suggested as well.

My question is this: I can navigate without any problem in Virtual Explorer to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Profiles\SDMemory.  However, I can’t figure out what to do next (i.e. how to edit the key folder value) in Virtual Explorer.  Please advise if editing the key folder value is possible and if so, how so.

Update to original post: problem solved, although not with Virtual Explorer.  Registry key needed to be tweaked which was done with PHM Regedit.

Hi Fred,

after you navigate to the required key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Profiles\SDMemory) in the tree / list, you should switch to Tree-List mode (the values are visible in the list only). You will get all the values for that key in the list panel. Simple click on the row with the “Name-value” will open the dialog for editing that value.
