I wanted to cache a huge number of files on my 8GB SDHC (some 100k), but found that only exFat format would help.

As per microsoft http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa914353.aspx, exFat is Windows CE compatible but not WM compatible.

I use a TYTYII with WM6.1. Any ideas when
1. would WM6.1 have support for exFat?

2. Anything which pocket mechanic could do in this regard?

Hi Dabasis,
Thanks for bringing in an interesting question! I am not able to answer your question since I am not familiar with what stands behind “exFat”. I am not aware of any extension to the FAT file system besides the ones already supported by Pocket Mechanic. One thing that is missing in the current FATFS library is support for partitions but that will be added soon. I will check the available info on exFat first and will try to answer your question in greater details.
