I am trying to install Pocket Mechanical Pro on my new HTC 730 (on Windows Mobile 6) but I keep getting error messages. Sometimes it says “The installation file is not intended for this device” and sometimes it tells me it can’t install because it is “not digitally signed with a trusted certificate”. Can you help? (Oh and BTW - the other trial versions of programs like Battery Pro etc DO install normally...)

Hi Stephan,
First of all, welcome to the forums!

Is the HTC 730 a SmartPhone or a PocketPC device? According to:

http://htc-news.newslib.com/story/9126-4157/

it should be a SmartPhone but it looks like a PocketPC…

Привет Антон - и спасибо за быстрый ответ smile) No. it is a smartphone… Should that matter? I thought Windows Mobile 6 was platform-independent…

Привет!

It does matter unfortunately since Pocket Mechanic only support PocketPC devices, not SmartPhones. Sorry about that.

Shoot smile)) Oh well - I loved your program on my PDA. And I’ll definitely miss it on my new smartphone (nice, but even harder to control and manage than pocketpc gizmos). Thanks again for the fast answer and best of luck to you!

Всего хорошего…

Stephan,
We will do our best to support SmartPhones in Pocket Mechanic 3. Our major obstacle would be the user interface as currently Pocket Mechanic is totally touch screen based. But that is something that can be changed.
