Hello again Anton,

Just wanted to check & see if your Dev. Team was making any progress with the new Qualcomm Chipset? I haven’t seen any news or updates in the last month & am wondering if t\any progress has been made. As you’re aware this processor seems to be the latest & greatest thing & a lot of the new high end devices are equiped with this dual processor. It seems to me that two seperate modules might be needed as you basically have an ARM11 with an added ARM9 for Mulimedia Processing. I would think you would be able to at least enhace overall sys. performance by addressing the ARM11. From my understanding, the Multimedia performance issues may be a result of the current program architecture not making the correct system calls anyway. Is there no support for the similar TI OMAP 2420 either???

I look forward to your response & I’m sure everyone is interested on an update as to where your developers currently are with this issue.

Thanks again,

GSLEON3

It seems to me that you may find the solution using the more available tools for the TI OMAP line of this processor. Have you checked out the Dev. tools available at http://www.virtio.com?

Hey Anton,

You guys are really AWFUL about keeping people up to date & answering questions in the forum. You say to look at the developer blog for updates on this processor support but you post nothing & haven’t answered this after 9 MONTHS. I mean WTF??? It’s no wonder everyone I know has dumped Pocket MEchanic & gone with the friendly & helpful Charly of SKKV & SK Tools.

I am also interested in knowing where the development team stands with the qualcomm processor. I have a mogul/6800. Has it been given up on? Is there a resonable time frame we can be looking forward to like next release 4.x, 1 month, 3 months, never? Has there been more time devoted to cpu integration now that you have a WM6 stable 4.2+ available?

Any insight into where the dev team stands would be great because I love the product and have been using it on xscale devices since the 6600/htc blueangel came out.

So far it is hard to give a schedule or an estimate for adding support of the totally undocumented Qualcomm chipset. We have not given up work on it. As soon as we have any progress we will post an update in the blog.

not to sound rude or offensive or anything...but does this mean that there has been no progress made?

Well at least it is less than I expected, we are still in the research phase… Anybody who could send us links to any development manuals/info will help us a lot.
