What does Outlook duplicate remover class as a duplicate? Is any attached note included? Are different entries with the same name counted as duplicates? Are categories differentiated?
It’s a killer feature - it could be killer-great or killer-broken database. What exactly does it remove.
Thanks,
Andy.

Hi Andy,
The duplicate remover will remove duplicate Contacts, Appointments and Tasks. Different entries with the same name are not counted as duplicates. Categories are differentiated.

But the duplicate remover is just a fraction of what the Outlook cleanup module can do - it can perform deep database integrity checks, check forward and reverse references between databases, detect Outlook junk (for instance attachment files that are not actually used by any of the messages because they have expired but Outlook did not remove them), orphaned email files etc.

We will be publishing an in-depth article on how to maintain Pocket Outlook healthy using Pocket Mechanic in April.

Best regards,
Anton

Excellent. It really is a killer (good) feature.
It’s something I’ve been looking for for a long time, especially with ActiveSync creating duplicate entries so often.
I’ve experimented with the feature myself and haven’t managed to delete anything I didn’t want to. So far, this alone is worth the price of the program.
I look forward to the guide.
Thank you.
Take care,
Andy.
