by Anton Tomov on Aug 26

Pocket Hack Master speed configurationIf you wish to help our development team build a better Pocket Hack Master v5 you can do it by posting your working Pocket Hack Master v4 speed settings in the following format:

  • Device model and revision
  • OS version
  • Speed setting (as it is seen in the Speed configuration module of Pocket Hack Master) + comments

For example:

Device: HP iPAQ h4705

OS: WM2003SE

624MHz CPU, 208MHz bus, 104Mhz RAM, 104MHz LCD, T

520MHz CPU, 208MHz bus, 104Mhz RAM, 104MHz LCD, T

Thank you for helping us build a better product!

Please only post stable speed settings. Don't forget to have a look at our Articles and guides section and read the Pocket Hack Master speed configuration guide.

Thanks blazingstar,

Is the 590MHz setting really stable?

Yes, my PDA is working fine at 590MHz. It’s fast at refeshing the GPS map details.

- ASUS A639
Are you intersted?

Hey Fireball,
Please post the setting for those two devices as well. Thanks!

Thanks Leeon,
The first setting will not be considered “stable” if it freezes and this is normal if the default device speed is just 416MHz. How about the 553MHz setting, is it really stable?

By Leeon on Sep 03, 2007

To: Anton Tomov on Sep 03, 2007
Hi, that 553MHz is working fine. I’m using it for one year with no problems.

By v_mark on Sep 03, 2007

The program working if you set Edit/Settings/Advanced “Disable device built-in scaling”.
The sound cannot be heard and communication lost with the internal GPS if you under/over-clock the device.

I tried at 500 MHz and above (with manual settings) - no luck, I had to reset…
How high is the default voltage for this CPU (Samsung S3C S3C2440A)? I don’t want to burn it…
As I googled down, it is originally 1,3V
So I set 66/33 MHz the HCLK/PCLK (for sound&GPS;compatibility), and set CPU 528MHz with MDIV/HDIVN, set voltage 1,4V but not succeed…. unfortunately, but I do not give up…

Steve——————

If you head over to XDA-Developers there is a new WM6 ROM Unofficial but HP has discontiuned support which has left the door open to other people to develop the ROM further so if you head over to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=325727&highlight=hx4700 you should find it.

my Qtek 9000 WM5 with original cpu 520mhz intel(R) PXA270 (similar phones= imate jasjar or HTC-universal.)

cpu speeds 663 and 728 is NOT stable so far.
i reccomend choosing the values containing LCD 104 because lower will only flicker the screen content a lot..
-make sure you stick with the same BUS on the speeds you choose…

CPU/Bus/Ram/LCD/T/SI/MIPS/ Memory
624/208/104/104/T/463/404/521
520/208/104/104/T/425/337/512
416/208/104/104/T/378/269/486
312/208/104/104/T/330/202/458
208/208/104/104/T/266/134/398

in order for PHM to work without total freeze no matter what setting, i had to deactivate the build-in scaling.
if not, the screen goes “white” when not connected to power adapter (charger)

remember to NOT set “start automatically” until you get a stable environment with PHM (with or without charger)
-if not, you end up with a booted Qtek 9000 that ends up with the entire display white (frozen) smile
-this could mean you have to hard-reset and you don’t want that !!! (unless you can boot up in safe mode..)

it doesn’t clock UP “a lot” but it sure makes the battery last longer when idle clocks it DOWN 208 mhz !

if i discover any use that may be unstable - i will post it..
